lofi telephone mic
Been making these off and on for quite some time. Very simple microphone made out of an old telephone receiver. They actually sound really awesome: sample. Contact me if you would like me to build you one. Passive microphones (using the speaker element as the transducer are $60 + shipping. I am now making active microphones that run off a 9v battery and provide slightly higher output signal and a slightly crispier sound. These are $100 + shipping. I also do custom work such as the image seen below which includes an input for the ear speaker and an output for the mic.
